Asus Lamborghini VX7 Now Available With Boost To The Specs [Asus's Newest ... - TFTS (blog)

If you've got a lot of cash on hand and you're dying for a pretty nice piece of hardware complete with unnecessary branding, then belly on up to the tech bar and try yourself a round of the newly-updated Asus Lamborghini VX7.

Coming in your choice of colors–black or the above-pictured orange–the spec sheet on this little behemoth is going to be a downright sigh for relief for folks concerned about the aesthetic.

The Asus Lamborghini VX7 will be packing a 15.6 inch display in full HD, backed up by a quad-core Intel Core i7 2630QM processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics (supported by three gigs of video memory, no less!), your choice of storage options (a 500 gig or 750 gig hard drive or a solid state drive up to 1.25 terabytes, marking quite possibly the first time I've ever seen a laptop offer a bigger solid state drive than a hard drive), up to 16 gigs of RAM, a USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output for accessing the bigger screens, a two megapixel webcam, wi-fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity and an eight cell battery.

I don't mind telling you, I'm profoundly impressed. That's pretty heavy tunes, especially for a laptop. Plenty of people are thoroughly satisfied with desktops that don't pack that kind of hardware. And if you ever needed something to distract from that orange, that spec sheet would do it. You could show up with that thing in polka dots and using an old raincoat for a case but people would still take those specs seriously. I don't know why they went with that garish orange cover when they had such a muscle machine under the hood there–something simple and more tasteful would have made this thing one for the ages.

But as you'd probably expect, the price tag will be enormous and terrifying, so prepare to shell out fully 1,995 pounds sterling (about $3252.45 US) for one of these. They're available right now, at last report–these are just upgraded models.

The performance definitely looks like it's there–even if more people will probably go with the black one–so if you want some incredible laptop power and don't mind the price tag, I'd say the Asus Lamborghini VX7 might be the one to go with.
